To restock your kitchen you can go, in just a 400-meter radius, to different supermarkets and shopping centers like the "Viale della Repubblica" (which includes supermarket, drugstore and dry cleaning) and the "Minganti" (with supermarket, gym and many clothing stores, gift shops and bookstores). For those who like great deals, there is the nearby Parco della Montagnola, which on Fridays and Saturdays hosts the Mercato della Piazzola (Square Market). Go early to get the best deals!
If you prefer to go out for dinner or drinks, or if you like a nice home-delivered pizza, a restaurant-pizza parlor, a Sushi restaurant and an Irish Pub are very close. From here getting downtown and to the train station is very convenient, either on foot or using public transportation, thanks to the bus station nearby.
You can get to Bologna Fair fast, even on foot.
The apartments are just a few minutes' walk from the Medieval Porta Mascarella, the first access to Bologna's historic downtown. The main monuments and free museums in the city are easily accessible, even on foot, with a pleasant walk about the characteristic porticos of Bologna.
And why not go on excursion to nearby Ferrara, the magnificent Florence or Ravenna, the splendid city of art entered in UNESCO'S World Heritage List, not to speak of the enchanting Venice? You can get to all these places from the Bologna Central Station, which is nearby.

The apartments are at 10/3 via Fiorilli, a 15 minute-walk from Bologna's Central Station and the bus station.
Take Bus 21 (to Magazzari) and get off at the Vestri stop on via del Lavoro. 10 meters to your right turn into via Vestri; via Fiorilli is on the right after about 60 meters. Or you can take Bus 38 (to Fiera Aldo Moro) and get off at the "Cavalcavia Mascarella" stop. Via Fiorilli is on the same side as the bus stop, about 10 meter before. Or on foot: leave the station and go to Viale Masini (with your back to the station go left) and follow the directions to the fair. Continue straight along Viale Masini to Porta Mascarella. Turn left and go through the overpass, keeping to your right, and the second street to your right after the overpass is via Fiorilli.
Take Bus BLQ and get off at the Central Station. Then take Bus 21 or 38 (see above).
If you are going by car, after the airport exit follow the directions to the bypass going in the direction of San. Lazzaro. Enter the bypass and exit at Exit number 7. Keep to your right on the exit and continue straight. Go through seven traffic lights, and suddenly after the 7th traffic light the first street to your left is via Fiorilli (just after the bust stop,located to your right). The apartments are located in the last court on your left before the intersection with via Vestri.
From the Central Station enter Viale Masini towards Fiera di Bologna. At Porta Mascarella turn left and go across the via Stalingrado overpass. After the overpass, the second street on your left is via Fiorilli.
From the Highway: A1 Milano-Napoli, A22 Brennero-Modena, A13 Bologna-Padova, A14 Bologna-Taranto, follow the directions for the bypass to San Lazzaro. Enter the bypass and exit at Exit number 7. Keep to your right on the exit and continue straight. Go through seven traffic lights; after the 7th traffic light the first street to your left is via Fiorilli. The apartments are located in the last court on your left before the intersection with via Vestri.
From the Bologna Fair (Piazza Costituzione) enter Viale Aldo Moro (to downtown); after about 400 meters and the second traffic light, via Fiorilli will be on your left.
